검고 검은 우주로 나간 남자에게 재난이 닥쳤다. 우주 미아가 된 남자의 고장난 헬멧 안으로 물이 차오른다. 조난 신호를 받아 줄 이가 없다. 먼 별빛일까. 헬멧에 비친 별들은 가쁜 숨으로 맺힌 물방울과 혼동되어 유리면에 알알이 맺힌다. 별은 미동도 없이 가만히 있다. 별은 물인듯 흘러내린다. 더 먼 곳에서는, 반짝 거리는 붉은 빛이 폭발한다. 이 노래가 시작하면 우주가 생성되고 은하가 열린다. 노래가 끝나면 모든 것이 제자리로 돌아온다. 톰 요크로 돌아온다.
Disaster came upon the man who went out to
the dark dark space. Water fills up in the broken helmet of the
lost man. There is no one to take the distress
signal. maybe there are Distant starlight. The helmets bear reflected
stars and breathless drops of water. The stars remain motionless. And falling like drops of water. Further away, a glistening red light
explodes. When the song starts, the universe is
created and the galaxy opens. When the song is over, everything comes
